Hey Ash Nieto here, my summer anthem is Change by Taylor Swift. It's a song about breaking walls and standing up as champions. Almost performed it at the PHS baccleurete. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHey! It's Trevor Duplissey! My summer anthem this year is DEFINITELY Tear down the Walls by Hillsong United. I know it may seem pretty cliché for someone on the worship team to make this choice, but I honestly can't think of any other song that captures what I've been feeling in my heart like this one does. I love that the words challenge us to not only have vision, but to have faith in it! This is a concept that is vitally important to fulfilling the potential of this summer at church and thus, our lives!

Jodi Cameron here - as of last summer one of my favorite summer songs would be "more time" from needtobreathe. we played it over and over again on our vacation in hawaii last year, so anytime I hear that song it takes me right back to the beach and sun of Maui :)

this is jake and my summer anthem is Jack Johnson- Breakdown. Sometimes you just need that old train you are on to breakdown so you can enjoy life.
ReplyDeleteThis is Erica Davis! My summer anthem is "Set Me Free" by Myron Butler & Levi. It has a fun, summertime beat. When I listen to it, I imagine myself dancing on a tropical island or something. Not only that, but the lyrics are powerful. If you haven't heard this song, I would look it up if I were you.

This song is an oldie but goodie and the lyrics are so powerful. This song talks about what all of the nations are needing and how I feel everyday! Are you ready for a Revival??? “I look to the promise you made that if we turn and look to your face, you will come and heal our land, you will come, you will come to us. Lord send revival, start with me…” Wow and “Amen” is all I can say about this song!!!
Hmm... I would have to say Afroman's "Because I got High." TOTALLY joking! Okay, umm... Kokomo from the Beach Boys. Really anything from the Beach Boys brings back summer memories because we normally forget to bring CD's out to the cabin and that one seems to always be there.

ReplyDeleteMy summer anthem came out two summers ago. It's a song called "Courage to Grow" by Rebelution. It's a reggae song, yes im a little weird I like reggae, with great lyrics. My favorite line is -cause everone of us has a purpose here sometimes it's hidden underneath your fear.
It doesn't matter your age or situation, if you take action things start to happen.

Its an upbeat song that has a good message about singers and performers that talk sing about the materialistic things of the world and how you don't have to be like them. Instead you can use your talent to please and acknowledge God .

This is Lindsay Stewart - I would have to go with the WHOLE new United album.. I seriously cant get enought! Is that ok to pick an album not just one song?? I can't help it... it is ROCKIN my WORLD!
ReplyDeleteMy summer Anthem song is "Desert Song" by Hillsong because I love the lyrics at the end,... "this is my prayer in the desert, when all thats within me feels dry. I know I'm filled to be emptied again...." love that part. Gosh, I feel like that sometimes. Probably one of first intros to Hillsong, they rock my socks off!

can I post again? well and I like Trevor's choice... love that song too. Love the lyrics "all creation returns to you" it has personal meaning to me that strikes a cord in my heart. Just wanted to add "my best friend" by Tim McGraw cause I am gettin hitched to my best friend this summer :)
