The Uncommon Life

The past couple weeks we’ve kicked off the Best Summer of your life… so far… and it has been incredible. I know some of you are still in school (snow days or whatever has kept you chained to a desk until late June) but just consider this has been a great way to get into the spirit of summer – with BBQ and sand volleyball and summer give-a-ways.

We’ve been in a series during services called “The Uncommon Life.” We’re taking a look at the uncommon life of Jesus when he walked the planet over 2000 years ago. Last week Pastor Samuel brought the word talking about the Uncommon Response that we are called to live a life of action. The message inspired all of us to JUST DO SOMETHING for God while we’re here on the planet.

Last night, Pastor Brandon talked about the Uncommon Grace that Jesus brought to the planet. He said that Grace Intervenes, Grace Sees and Forgives, and Grace empowers you.

The Uncommon Life series is such a timely word for our generation – first it’s time for us to stop just talking about changing the world and actually start DOING things to change the world! And, second, to remember that we – each and every one of us – are walking in grace every single day.

Remember this: “Your worst days are never so bad that you are beyond the reach of His grace.  And your best days are never so good that you are beyond the need of God’s grace.  Every day should be a day of relating to God on the basis of His grace alone.” -Jerry Bridges

Next week we’re closing out our series on The Uncommon Life – don’t miss out! Come expecting great things – connecting with God and connecting with people.
